Nice. The Pearl of the Côte d’Azur

Nice – The Pearl of the Côte d’Azur

There’s a lot of cities in France, like Paris, Marseilles, or Lyon. But there’s only one city that’s Nice.

Framed in green above the azure coast – Nice from above.

Arrival and deep breaths

To call Nice just a city would be far too simple. Nice is a feeling – a place that immediately awakens all the senses.
From the elegant Promenade des Anglais, where palm trees sway in the breeze and the sea glistens in a thousand shades of blue, to Castle Hill with its romantic waterfall – every moment here feels like it belongs in a coffee-table book.
And then this breakfast: a still-warm croissant, a strong coffee, and a view of the turquoise Mediterranean. Who could resist?

Family, croissants and the Côte d’Azur

Looking together – moments that last.

Our trips to France are more than just holidays – they are heart moments.
One of our daughters lives in Nice with her family, and at least once a year we’re drawn back.
It’s these shared moments full of sunshine, laughter and lightness that make our hearts soar.
And each time we think: If only we could take this feeling home – like a souvenir.
Only in the north, it’s more likely to be “Moin” than “Bonjour.”

A flower among flowers – Cours Saleya through a child’s eyes.

Whether strolling through the old town, browsing the colorful flower market at Cours Saleya or soaking up the sun on the city’s beaches – Nice invites you to simply drift.

Between old façades and palm trees – sea view, Nice-style.

The narrow alleys, the light, the colors – everything feels more intense here.
And then the food: fresh fish, savory socca, a glass of rosé at a small street café – the region’s cuisine is a joy of its own.
“In Nice, even everyday life feels like a vacation.”

What remains? Warmth. Closeness. Memory.

We cherish every second in this city – not just for its beauty, but for the connection we feel here.
Nice is a place of arriving, of family, of ease.
These journeys strengthen our bonds, give us stories and memories we carry home in our hearts.

Cacti, coastline, constant motion – in Nice, wanderlust never stops.
