Travel Light, Fly Far. Our RTW Journey Begins

We Love to Travel Light

Each of these suitcases holds exactly what we probably won’t need.

The start of our three-month world trip – minimalist, of course.
Passports? Money? iPhone? – Check!
Everything else? More or less optional.

Although… “optional” is a flexible term. We’re pretty sure we haven’t forgotten anything important – in fact, we may have packed for everything that could possibly happen. Plus a little extra, just in case.

Luggage Comes in All Shapes

Sometimes all you need is a pink suitcase, a small hand – and someone to hold it. So simple, so beautiful. So much journey in something so small.

Ready for Takeoff

Hamburg Airport is surprisingly empty (have we ever seen it this quiet?). After a friendly chat at the Lufthansa check-in – just to make sure our bags don’t accidentally end up in Tokyo – we finally settle into the lounge.

They’re serving duck leg. We take that as a good omen.

The mountain of luggage rolls. Our hearts skip. And now we wait for that moment:

“This is your captain speaking…”

No Turning Back Now

From here, it’s only forward – through gates, across time zones, into the unknown.

We’re ready. So is our luggage.
And if we do forget something along the way? We’ll just pick it up: a smile here, a sunrise there – maybe even an extra suitcase.
